Working with Sarah and Mike to buy my first home in Sydney was super helpful in a few ways.

Firstly, not having grown up in AU, they helped educate me on the market and process of buying with much more confidence.
Secondly, having Sarah come to viewings with me was also super helpful as her experienced eyes saw different things to mine. She could see the potential and risks in a property that I wouldn't have necessarily caught.
Thirdly, having someone like Mike conduct the due diligence on the market value, identify any potential risks with the property, etc. increased my confidence in purchasing the most expensive thing i'll ever have to purchase in my life!
Lastly, they have a strong network of people they recommend. We ended up working with their recommended solicit and mortgage broker, and having them all as an experienced team that knew each other made the process much more efficient and painless.

We cannot recommend Sarah Kaye & Co enough because there is no option for 6 stars. In the end, they helped us secure a wonderful property under our 'walk-away price', exceeding all expectations.

We initially tried to do everything ourselves, coming to them fresh off a very unpleasant solo attempt to secure a different home. That prior ordeal involved a long, drawn-out, and extremely draining negotiation that almost ended with us paying a few percent above our absolute limit, followed by a last-minute surprise regarding the property's condition right before signing. Luckily, we realized just in time that it simply wasn't worth it and walked away.

That was the moment we realized we needed a buyer's agent, mainly because we were both time-poor and inexperienced. To be completely honest, we were still initially sceptical, particularly around incentives of buyer's agents in general. We researched a few options and eventually settled on Mike and Sarah because they are a director-led, and agile firm; we wanted a hands-on approach and didn't want to be just another number.

Mike and Sarah led us through the entire process from start to finish. I spoke to Mike personally almost every day. I found him to be resourceful, energetic, and intelligent.

During due diligence, Mike was incredibly versatile and knowledgeable, ensuring the process was comprehensive in scope. No concern of mine was too big or too small for him to investigate. He provided me with the tools and information to understand and weigh every possible risk before moving forward.

When it came to negotiations, that was where Mike truly shined; standing in stark contrast to our previous solo experience. It was an absolute masterclass. Suffice to say, you definitely want Mike on your side, and I certainly wouldn't want to go up against him!

Having just secured our first home, we are no longer sceptical at all about the value of a buyer's agent because of our experience with this particular buyer's agent. If you're on the fence or suspect it might be worth it, just give them a call.

We engaged the services of Mike and Sarah as we were looking to buy our first home while living overseas before returning home. We wanted someone who knew the Northern Beaches and would help us avoid any pitfalls of the area and buying houses in general. Initially we went with them because they gave off a vibe that they were honest, trustworthy and cared that we ended up with a property that we loved.
